CRA Motorsports' young gun, Rakshith Dave took the double win at the first round of the Malaysian Superbike Championship. The Chennai lad is racing the 250 cc B-category as he tasted success in Race 1 and Race 2 at the opening round.
This was the young racer's first international podium. It was a wonderful opportunity for him to make his country proud and unfurl the tricolour on foreign soil. Kudos to the spirit of racing of Rakshith's.
Rakshith wasn't the only success story from round 1. His teammates, Ashish Patel, Ramesh Rohan and Abhinav Gunasekaran all had strong performances in the A-category that they race.
Ramesh finished 6th in both races taking 10 points each.
Abhinav finished both races in 7th place, and earning himself 9 points each.
Ashish on the other hand, had a little more topsy-turvy round, he finished a strong 5th in the first race, while crashed out in the second race and recorded a DNF.

CRA Motorsports is a Coimbatore based team, whose goal is to find and develop young Indian talent to give them an opportunity to shine on the motorsports stage.
With this successful outing in Malaysia for the first round, CRA are hopeful to fight for the 2023 championship.
Indian motorsports has been on a gradual rise over the last decade. And motorcycle racing in particular should get a big boost with MotoGP coming to India in 2023 and making the sport more popular amongst bikers and the mainstream.
With greater exposure to motorsports in the country, we will see many more Indian motorcycle racers shine in Malaysia and on the world stage as well.
In the world of motorsports starting young and getting international exposure at an early stage is extremely important. Doing so, allows our Indian racers to make a mark on the global stage and doing the country proud, not just today, but in the future as well.
